here's the thing, alan (can i call you alan?) i can't take a picture to save my life - seriously. but i worked in graphics for a long time, so i can PICK pictures. i realize this is a ludicrous distinction, but looking at your work is like a little present that reminds me of the past when things were all about art and layout for me. the composition of your images is very fine. i'll keep writing compliments, because they all merit them. i will write specific things if you like, but i'm kind of fudging the knowledge and the language for it -- for me photography is about a feeling, and yours has it. i like the lines in this one, and its spareness. a lot.
