Why this picture? When you walk around the markets of Taipei, you see a lot of color, thanks to the fruit and the clothes and the different kinds of food. Walk around the alleys and lanes and streets of the different neighborhoods, though, and after awhile it seems all you see is gray. Sure, there are lots of bright flowers hanging over the edges of the roofs, or along window balconies, but even these colors get swallowed by monotony of the block apartment buildings. Thus it was a pleasant surprise yesterday, as Natalia and I walked from the ShiDa neighborhood over to YongHe to see some buildings like this. Posted by Hello
