I didn't get the composition quite like I wanted, but it worked out OK, I think, with the streaks in the sky. This is another photo from my roof. The little blurs in the lower corner are the tops of distant buildings. Posted by Hello

Our class went to the science museum for a field trip yesterday and I took this picture at the park outside as we were collecting our things to return to school. The air was quite heavy with smog yesterday - a dust storm coming from China. This is a color photo. Posted by Hello

This is in Tokyo. I had exited at the busiest train station in the city, witnessing before me a quite literal sea of people. After walking for ten minutes, I had left them behind and came across this quiet neighborhood where I passed maybe 5 people. Posted by Hello

I took this at sunset last summer on a day that I just happened to have my camera with me. I was near Minchuan W Rd MRT station, looking west. Posted by Hello

I took this picture late last summer, as a typhoon approached Taipei. School had already been called off for the following day and the few people out were getting last minute supplies of groceries. I was on my way to Blockbuster to rent the entire 2nd season of 24. As I walked home I could barely stand upright, the wind was so strong. Posted by Hello

As with the Laos page today, I had a difficult decision if I should put this on the people page or on the cities page. I decided to post it here because the image is as much linked with the idea of a city sweating under 37 degree (celsius) heat as it is with the kids enjoying themselves. I took this outside a drumming festival in Tainan last fall. It was one of the hottest days I have experienced in Taiwan. Posted by Hello
